Berkeley Executive Education (BEE) is seeking a dedicated Freelance Program Services Manager to support the BEE Program Services Team. Unlike a traditional temporary role, we are looking to build a long-term, recurring relationship with a professional who enjoys the flexibility of on-call project-based work.

You will manage the participant experience and logistics for a global portfolio of open enrollment and custom executive education programs. The workload varies by season and program demand—ranging from intensive full-time weeks during program delivery to lighter planning phases.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

Program Ownership: Manage the end-to-end project management, logistics, and event management for assigned programs (2 days to 9 months in duration), ensuring a seamless "white glove" experience for high-profile participants.

Virtual & Physical Delivery: On-site Lead for campus sessions (managing classroom experience, catering, venues, transportation, and site visits). Act as the "Producer" for virtual sessions (Zoom/Forum) and the

Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between Faculty, Corporate Clients, BEE cross-functional staff, and participants regarding logistics, budgets, and scheduling.

Fiscal Responsibility: Manage program budgets, ensuring vendor contracts are executed and expenses are processed and tracked accurately.

Platform Management: Utilize Salesforce, Asana, Zoom, and LMS tools to manage enrollment, communication, and materials distribution.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in event planning, program management, or executive education.

Tech Stack: Proficiency in Salesforce, Learning Management Systems (Canvas), Zoom (advanced hosting), Asana, Office, and G-Suite.

Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, ability to navigate complex academic hierarchies, comfort with ambiguity, and "grace under pressure" when facing program challenges.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Engagement Details & Compensation

Rate: $45/hour.

Volume: Variable intensity (up to 50 hours/week during peak program delivery).

Initial Engagement: February 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026.

Long-Term Potential: Successful contractors will be prioritized for renewal in subsequent academic terms (Fall 2026 and beyond), offering a steady, recurring income stream year-over-year.
